EMBASSY VOLUNTEERS HOLD A DAY OF COMMUNITY SERVICE
On November 3 a group of U.S. Embassy Dushanbe volunteers held a “Day of Service” at Dushanbe’s Friendship Park, where they teamed up with city administration and park employees to collect trash, and clean up fallen branches and leaves.

NUMBER OF TAJIK STUDENTS STUDYING AT U.S. COLLLEGES DOWN SLIGHTLY
According to Open Doors 2009, the annual report on international academic mobility published by the Institute of International Education (IIE) with support from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, the number of students from Tajikistan enrolled in U.S. institutions of higher education decreased.
