Medical Examination
Before the issuance of an immigrant visa, every applicant, regardless of age, must undergo a medical examination. The examination must be conducted by a doctor designated by the Consular Section. Immigrant visas for Tajikistan citizens are processed in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Applicants may undergo their medical examination either in Almaty or here in Dushanbe. Currently, the Prospekt Medical Clinic conducts all the medical examinations here in Dushanbe. Examination costs must be paid by the applicant, in addition to the visa fees.
You should attend your medical exam either at the International SOS Clinic in Almaty or at the Prospekt Medical Clinic in Dushanbe at the appointed time and bring your visa appointment letter, your passport or another photograph-bearing document serving as a travel document, a 3 x 4 cm. photograph, your vaccination records, and the appropriate fees. Once the exam and laboratory tests are completed, you will be given the results in a sealed envelope which you should bring to your visa interview. Receiving the medical examination results takes up to five days.
