On August 25, 2007 During his trip to Tajikistan for the dedication of the U.S. funded Tajik-Afghan Nizhny Pyanj Bridge, United States Secretary of Commerce Carlos M. Gutierrez met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Dushanbe to discuss issues of trilateral cooperation.
