First Stop Dushanbe:  A/S Blake’s Maiden Voyage to Central Asia

In his first visit to Central Asia as Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs, Ambassador Robert Blake discussed bilateral security cooperation, Tajikistan’s economic challenges, government financial accountability, and democratic reform with President Rahmon and Foreign Minister Zarifi.  He began his Assistant Secretary assignment in May.  (press transcripts)
