Statement By The U.S. Ambassador On The Occasion Of Ramadan

On behalf of the U.S. Embassy, I wish all Muslims in Tajikistan and throughout the world a happy and blessed Ramadan.

Ramadan is a month of celebration with family and friends, and a month of devotion and reflection. Muslims around the world reflect upon the wisdom and guidance that comes with faith and the responsibility that human beings have to one another and to God. We share a common responsibility to providing equal opportunities for women and children and search for courage to uphold human rights and freedoms regardless of one's nationality or creed.

During this month of peace and renewal, I would like to extend my best wishes to the Muslims of Tajikistan, America, and around the world.
