Alumni speak with Undersecretary for Public Diplomacy James Glassman via DVC. U.S. Embassy, Dushanbe, Tajikistan, December 23, 2008
TAJIK ALUMNI DVC WITH UNDERSECRETARY JAMES GLASSMAN
Alumni of U.S. Government funded exchange programs from Tajikistan participated in a digital video conference with James Glassman, Undersecretary for Public Diplomacy, on December 23 in Dushanbe. During the DVC, Glassman urged alumni to make a difference in their own communities. He cited youth activists who had rallied peaceful opposition to the FARC in Colombia as one example. He also praised Tajik alumni for specific contributions they have made to their country. During the questions and answers, alumni asked Glassman to increase funding for exchanges between the U.S. and Tajikistan.
