JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – 09-52
The U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe is hiring a Senior Security Investigator. Senior Security Investigator serves as the senior local national and advisor in the Regional Security Office and assists the Regional Security Officer (RSO) in performance of all security–related functions. Responsible for supervising all security investigators, as well as assigning, tracking, and reviewing all background investigations of prospective employees, periodic reinvestigations of current employees, and other security investigation assigned by the RSO. As a Security Investigator, also conducts background and other security related investigations. Maintains liaison with local law enforcement and security authorities and coordinates the liaison activities of the personnel in the Security Investigator’s office. Assists with liaison in criminal investigations involving American citizens. Also supervise the Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program Management Assistant, and provides direction and guidance for that program.

Required Qualifications:
College level degree in Law, Law Enforcement, Military, Management, or similar discipline is required.
A minimum of three years experience in investigative work with military, police, or private security organizations is required. Minimum two years of prior supervisory experience is required.
Level III (good working knowledge) in written and spoken English is required. Level IV (fluency) in written and spoken Russian and/or Tajik is required.
A good working knowledge of local civil, administrative, and criminal legislation. Knowledge of Tajik and US law enforcement and security structure and hierarchy.
Ability to conduct investigations and document findings. Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision while interacting with Tajik and US Government officials. Must possess an official driver’s license issued by the Government of Tajikistan.
