The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe is updating its computerized warden network and registration system. In the context of the upgrade, the current e-mail system will be retired and replaced by a Department of State-designed application. To ensure continued registration with the Embassy, all U.S. citizens in Tajikistan should register through the Department of State's travel registration website: https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs. Registration is only available through this website.
If you registered previously, but not online through the Department of State website, please take the time to re-register.
Starting from Friday, August 4, 2006, information messages will be sent only to those individuals who have registered at https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs.
Registration with the U.S. Embassy informs consular officers of your presence in country and allows them to contact you and offer assistance in case of an emergency.
In accordance with the Privacy Act, information on your welfare or whereabouts may not be released to inquirers without your expressed written authorization. Registration through the website is not considered proof of citizenship. Remember to leave a detailed itinerary and the numbers or copies of your passport or other citizenship documents with a friend or relative in the United States.
